Summary of the Opportunity:Capital Music Therapy Services, LLC (www.capitalmts.com) is a hard working, innovative, and fast-growing private practice located in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. We are dedicated to offering our local community a host of world-class services. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our talented team. This position is part time with the option of growing into full time. Part-time assistance is needed in both Maryland and Virginia.
Summary of Responsibilities:The clients in our caseload are a true mix, comprising of school-based IEP music therapy, clinic-based music therapy (primarily to children with various disabilities), and community-based groups for children between the ages of 0-4 and assisted living facilities. This position requires the flexibility and willingness to serve all people, drive all around the greater Washington D.C. metropolitan area as needed (although the bulk of this caseload is located in Northern Virginia), and having flexible work hours that meet our clients needs. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a highly talented team of music therapists, a research assistant, and two very experienced advisers in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for attending weekly meetings, clinical supervision, professional development, marketing events, and other duties as assigned.
Key Duties:-Manage all aspects of delivering exceptional services to a mixed caseload of home, clinic, and facility-based individual and group clients. -Develop and facilitate professional development training to our staff on a rotational basis. -Collaborate with team members on various research and development projects.-Collaborate with team members in program planning and service delivery.
Qualifications:Applicant must be a current board-certified music therapist and possess reliable transportation with adequate automobile insurance.
