The recent United States election raises significant global concerns for our political family. Donald Trump’s return, the House and Senate results, and his proposed appointees will reshape American domestic politics and the international order. This rise of the MAGA coalition also parallels similar reactionary populist movements across the world. We earlier already established that the fight for consequential issues on democracy, the economy, climate, gender, and peace are globally interconnected thus a common understanding of the developments in the U.S. would inform us lessons on our coordinated responses.
The discussion will examine the transnational impact of the U.S election results and build on our Global Convention’s efforts to strengthen progressive strategies.
