BC Virtually Present Parent/Guardian Notification
Update 3/15/21

Dear Crusaders--Effective Monday 3/22 with the start of the fourth marking period, in-person instruction will be required unless your family selected remote learning at the beginning of the year, your child has a pre-existing health condition, or an immediate family member of a student is considered high risk. This decision is based on improving local health trends, our school's ability to continued adhering to its health and safety protocols, recent inoculation of school personnel, and academic trends that reveal a strong correlation between low academic performance and virtual attendance. We believe it is the appropriate time to welcome back the vast majority of our students and create a foundation of successful in-person habits that will pave the way for what we hope will be a traditional experience in 21-22.

Beginning 3/22, this form will be updated to include only COVID-19 related options (symptoms, close contact, pending test results). For other forms of absences (daily illness, doctors appointments, college visits, transportation issues etc.) the main office attendance hotline should be contacted at 412-922-7400 ext. 210.

Please contact Mr. Joyce at 412-922-7400 ext. 213 or joycem@bishopcanevin.org with any questions or concerns.
