Purpose:
The Caregiver Wish Grant, provided by the EndAlz Fest Foundation, is designed to support caregivers who are caring for a loved one affected by Alzheimer's or another dementia by granting wishes up to $1,000. This grant aims to ease the challenges of caregiving and improve the quality of life for caregivers and their families.
Application Guidelines:
Eligibility:
- The applicant must be a caregiver providing care to a loved one.
- The grant can be used for various needs that help make caregiving easier or enhance the caregiver's well-being and family life.
Grant Amount:
- Each grant will not exceed $1,000.
Possible Uses of the Grant:
- Respite care expenses (e.g., hiring temporary caregivers, adult daycare services).
- Family activities (e.g., family outings, vacations, recreational activities).
- Home improvements related to caregiving (e.g., installing wheelchair ramps, home safety modifications).
- Self-care and wellness activities for the caregiver (e.g., fitness classes, therapy sessions).
- Educational and training programs related to caregiving.
Application Requirements:
- Thoroughly complete all sections of the application form.
- Provide detailed information on how the grant will be used.
- Explain the impact the grant will have on the caregiver's life and caregiving duties.
- Include any supporting documents or references that may strengthen the application.
Review Process:
- All applications will be reviewed by the EndAlz Fest Foundation at least once per quarter.
- Consideration will be given to those in the Coulee Region.
- The impact of the grant on the caregiver's life and caregiving responsibilities will be a key factor in the decision-making process.
