Work with Master Artist, Shawn Dunwoody (Google him or visit www.dunwoode.design) to create public art to transform vacant lots and Joseph Avenue into a vibrant and equitable arts & cultural corridor! Learn valuable creative and urban design skills, while earning a stipend for this 4-week project. 2022 Apprentices from this first session will automatically become eligible for first choice in future sessions until the longterm project is complete 2023-24.

IMPORTANT 2022 PROGRAM DATES/INFORMATION:

* Aveprenticeship begins with Orientation/Audition/Training Period 5/24 - 28 (includes weekend dates).
* Orientation/Audition/Training Period is mandatory for those applying for a paid apprenticeship. Returning Fellows must be in good standing and prepared to model/co-facilitate the orientation week.
* Agreements will be signed for stipends of up to will be for successful candidates who complete orientation period.
* Unveiling #1: the first art designs pieces - June 18, 2022 12-4pm.
*Unveiling #2: totem designs - August 20, 2022 12-3pm
WEEKLY SCHEDULE:
Tue/Thu 4:00 - 6:00 PM (Fellows Sessions. various programs)
Saturdays 2:00 - 4:00PM (Creative Sessions/Field Study)
Saturdays 4:00 - 6:00 PM (Studio Time)
*8 hours total weekly commitment @ $12.50/hour.
