Volunteer with Dancing Beyond Limits

We rely on volunteers with a wide variety of ages and experiences to support and encourage our incredible dancers! Whether you a youth peer looking to be a friend, a dancer wanting to share your passion, or an adult hoping to give the gift of time, DBL is a great way to connect with some incredible youth in our communities through dance. Thank you for considering the opportunity to partner with an adaptive dancer for our upcoming session. Below you will have the opportunity to review our upcoming sessions. It is very helpful if the volunteers are able to attend our performances at the end of the session. All volunteers above the age of 18 are required to complete a background check. There is no cost to volunteer, except your gift of time and commitment to you partner. Volunteers receive a free t-shirt to wear for performances.

Who are we? Dancing Beyond Limits (DBL) is a group of phenomenal youth in Lincoln and Omaha who have gone beyond their own limitations to pursue a love for dance. Alongside a volunteer, each student is challenged to move beyond physical or developmental limits in an uplifting environment. Confidence, teamwork, and friendship are foundational elements instilled through DBL, a non-profit organization focused on providing adaptive dance, yoga, and fitness opportunities.

What is a dance buddy? Volunteers who partner with a youth or young adult in a dance, cheer, or yoga program. You will provide encouragement, friendship, and sometimes physical assistance or guidance to help your partner participate in class. You will most likely take the stage alongside your dancer, but most importantly you will be behind their bright smile as they shine on stage.
