KENDAL CALLING IMPACT CREW APPLICATION 


Kendal Calling and betternotstop are delighted to open applications for our Leave Nothing But Memories Impact Crew at the beautiful Lowther Deer Park this summer! 

The LNBM Crew will be onsite to help Kendal Calling achieve and improve all their objectives this year to make Kendal Calling the greenest festival in the UK.

BENEFITS OF JOINING THE IMPACT CREW

  • FREE Full Weekend Ticket + Camping to Kendal Calling 2023 
  • Access to the staff campsite is included (with Hot Showers) but please bring your own tent / equipment and food for the weekend

WE ARE LOOKING FOR IMPACT CREW WHO

  • Are able to be onsite from Wednesday 26th July to Monday 31st July 2023

  • Ready to work outdoors, in pairs in either the Main Campsite or Main Arena 

  • Work a variety of shifts (in pairs) over the weekend and get paid for it! 

  • Can join a virtual briefing at 19:00 on Wednesday 19th July 

  • Can join a virtual debriefing at 19:00 on Wednesday 2nd August

Attendance at both zoom sessions is mandatory as part of your role in the festival. Any issues on attending these sessions may result in a failed application

Why do you want to be part of the Kendal Calling Impact Crew?

Tell us about any prior work experience you have had in live events, festivals, talking with members of the public, data collection, or environmental cleanup?  Please describe all that apply: *

A big part of this role will be talking to the campers and other festival-goers and collecting data about their attitudes towards litter. We therefore need you to be confident in walking up to strangers and engaging with them. 

Can you describe how you would communicate with a member of the public to find out why they had just thrown their cup on the floor, and how you might get them to rethink their decision.

While undertaking the work and enjoying the festival we will be camping from Wednesday to Monday.  Will you be comfortable to camping for five days in a festival setting, and have you camped or been to festivals before? *
We are looking for supervisors to be responsible for managing the campsite and arena crew teams.  

This role will be compensated at a higher rate but would be longer working hours and more responsibility. Would you be interested in this role?
