We are on the search for the best salsa. Thank you for your interest in signing up for the 2025 Sacramento Salsa Festival held in Old Sacramento Waterfront . 11AM – 4PM. Please fill out the form below and email it back to us and we’ll send you a payment link to secure your seat as a contestant.
Contest Details:
- 25 Contestants Max
- Entry Fee $50
- 1ST 2ND, & 3RD Place Trophies
- $1,000 Cash Prize for 1st Place Winner
- $250 Cash Prize for 2nd Place Winner
- $50 Cash Prize for 3rd Place Winner
- People's Choice Trophy (Only 1 Winner)
Contest Rules:
- 1 salsa category entry per contestant.
- No selling salsa in salsa bar. Must purchase a vendor booth to sell your salsa which will be in a separate location.
- 16”oz of your competing salsa dropped off by 9AM to Salsa Judges Tent in closed container.
- Must have enough salsa (minimum 12 gallons) that you will serve to a few thousand people in the salsa bar and served in a plastic 2oz portion cup with lid.
- You can not make the salsa onsite at the event or at your home. Food prep must be made in a commercial kitchen and must give the location name and address of food prep site.
- Salsa must be in a closed container in an ice chest.
- Salsa Bar open from 11am - 4pm.
- Winner announced at 5pm on Salsa Contest Stage Main Stage.
Order of Placement Day of the Contest:
Two weeks prior to the festival you will receive the number of your seat. That number is the number you need to write under each 2oz cup so when your salsa is being taste tested away from your table they can correctly choose to place their favorite salsa ticket in the correct contestant ticket bin.
