ACERT Writing Groups – Fall 2025

Join us for weekly writing groups during the fall semester!

This Fall we're offering four weekly meeting times:

  • Monday afternoons, from 2-4pm (in person)
  • Tuesday afternoons, from 1-3pm (online)
  • Wednesday mornings, from 10:30am-12pm (online)
  • Friday mornings, from 9-10:30am (online)

How does it work?

At the beginning of each session, we’ll do a 15-minute check-in, during which we'll share our writing intentions for the day. And then we'll leave the room open for accountability and quiet time to write. Coffee, tea, and snacks will be available during in-person sessions. This is a chance to put writing on your fall calendar, with the benefits of accountability and community support!

Who can join?

All Hunter faculty, staff, and doctoral students are welcome to participate in one or more groups. Join in the way that makes the most sense to you!

Where do the in-person groups meet?

The in-person groups meet in the lounge of the Faculty Center on the 5th floor of the Cooperman Library (68th St Campus.) The lounge remains open as usual to all faculty during those times. While the groups are in session, faculty who don't participate are always welcome to use the space and grab a cup of coffee/tea and snack.

We look forward to writing together, and remember: any time during the fall semester is the perfect time to join!

The Fall 2025 Writing Groups are facilitated by Raj Korpan (Mon), Jillian Baez (Tue), Austin Bailey (Wed), and Gina Riley (Fri).
