BAM Virtual Social Justice Cafe and Art is a collaborative project with the Syrian Canadian Foundation. We aim to provide a virtual creative, safe space for BIPOC youth to connect, bring awareness for social justice while healing and connecting through art and thought. This cafe intends to build a community where individuals can access equal opportunities and resources that they need to stand up for themselves and speak up for their communities.
BAM Virtual Social Justice Cafe and Art will host monthly sessions for youth to discuss social justice issues and engage with professional guest speakers. The cafe also includes art forms for BIPOC artists to heal and share their talents for social change.
Thanks to our funder Ryerson Office of Social Innovation, for making this cafe come to life.
