We want to welcome you into one of Naperville North High School’s most visible and exciting programs, as well as congratulate last year’s members on a terrific year. We are very excited about another successful Marching Huskies season at Naperville North High School. The Naperville North Marching Huskies is a part of our music department's strong foundation of excellence in music education. The Marching Huskies is a highly visible music and marching ensemble in the school and community.
This season of the Marching Huskies will prove to be an exceptional experience. We want to personally invite you to be a part of the Marching Huskies. We are planning to perform at five home football games, two community parades, The Naperville Central Marching Classic, the Oswego Marching Band Review, and a trip to Sandusky, OH featuring a parade at Cedar Point Amusement Park. We will perform a full half-time show, pre-game, parade marches, as well as pep music in the stands during our season.
You will provide registration information below, including your commitment to the ensemble, and the season schedule. Please read through the registration and application, and take note of the fees that are involved with becoming a member.
Please submit the online application which includes paying the non-refundable fee of $200.00 to commit to the Marching Huskies 2019-2020 season. This payment should be made via check made payable to NNHS. At the end of this registration form, you will be asked to download the fee form, print, and submit fees via check to the Band Office, c/o Mr. Dobbeck. While there is no audition to be a part of the Marching Huskies as a woodwind, brass, or percussion player, we do require tryouts for our color guard (flags). If you are interested in color guard, please take note of the required workshops and audition date by contacting Ms. Turner directly at email@example.com. All members are required to attend the all-day camp rehearsals that begin in July 29th in order to learn the half-time show, pre-game show, and prepare for our first parade. Thursday, August 15th will be the first day back after your summer vacation. All camp rehearsals will take place from 8am-5pm unless otherwise noted, with a scheduled ON-CAMPUS lunch break. Take note of the calendar of marching band rehearsals and performances. Members of the Marching Huskies are required to attend all marching band events since your role in the group is vital! With performances immediately following our return to school, it is imperative that we have all members at all rehearsals. Your attendance is crucial to our success as an organization. That being said, we understand that conflicts will and do come up. With enough advance notice, we are committed to always working to find a solution. This year we will be taking an additional trip to the Sandusky, OH to perform at the Cedar Point Amusement Park. While we would like to have all members attend, this trip is optional if you do not have the resources to attend. There will additional information coming out to you in the near future with specific costs and dates. The trips we take with the Marching Band are highly interactive and professionally planned. Students always have great experiences on these trips and will keep these memories forever. We are very excited for you to participate in the 2019-2020 Marching Huskie's season. If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Sincerely,Mr. Dobbeck, Ms. Turner, Mr. BajekMarching Huskie Directors
