In order to join the Free To Be Florida (FTB), we ask that you review our mission statement and sign our agreement to adhere to these goals and guiding principles.

Mission Statement

FTB serves to unite individuals and groups fighting K-12 educational censorship in Florida. The mission of FTB is to:

1) End the proliferation of educational censorship in Florida K-12 schools and libraries, especially censorship strategies targeting Black and Brown and LGBTQ+ communities;

2) Build a support network to counter censorship strategies, share resources, and effectuate state-wide anti-censorship strategies;

3) Include and uplift the voices and priorities of impacted communities and individuals to build community among impacted and concerned communities, and to uplift and engage in state-wide strategies to counter all forms of education censorship and discrimination in Florida.
