Interstellar Rodeo 2019 volunteer sign-up
July 26-28, 2019
Hawrelak Park — Heritage Amphitheatre
Bike Edmonton is providing several dozen bike racks to the Interstellar Rodeo in Hawrelak Park so festival attendees can bike and park securely. We need volunteers to help monitor the bike parking. Volunteers who volunteer for a minimum of 10 hours over the weekend will receive a free weekend pass to the festival (for when you're not watching the bikes!).
The line-up includes Sharon van Etten, K'Naan, Rheostatics, Whitehorse, Lucius, Saul Williams, Weaves, and others!
You will also receive other volunteer perks, including a food voucher and ticket to the volunteer-only after-party (details to be confirmed).
This role involves sitting at the bike parking compound, greeting people and answering questions relating to the bike parking and Bike Edmonton, and ensuring that bikes aren't stolen. Bring a book or a friend, and enjoy.

Two volunteers are required for each shift.
We are also in need for a weekend coordinator, who will be present at the festival to help coordinate and support volunteers and fill in as needed, as well as ensuring that the tabling supplies and bike racks are properly set up, positioned, and taken down at the end of the festival. This position doesn't need to stay at the bike compound (i.e. you can be inside the festival enjoying the music as long as all the volunteers show up), but you will need to be present and available during the entire festival, as well as regularly check in with the volunteers.
Priority is given to existing volunteers and volunteers who have helped at other events, especially those who have previously volunteered without receiving additional incentives (e.g. volunteering at Heritage Festival).
