Who: Youth ages 14-24. We welcome anyone who is interested in having a safe space to learn, talk, listen, and meet new people. 

What: This is a safe space for youth to connect and tap into whenever they wish. Participants learn and demonstrate the "circle process" and most conversations are done in the circle format. Circle keepers offer question prompts to get youth to reflect and think deeply about topics like connection, wellness, emotions, family struggles, and anything in between! In addition, we have special guest presentations to add to youth skill development. These special guests depend on youth interests. 

Where: Virtual on Zoom

When: Every Thursday from 5 pm - 6 pm CST

Why: Participants have the opportunity to be themselves, build healthy relationships with peers, and build a community of support with mentors who care about them. They gain healthy life and development skills such as self-discovery, self-expression, communication skills, and leadership skills.

Expectations:

• First-time participants must attend two consecutive circles before receiving payment.

• Engagement and presence matter: show up, participate, and keep your camera on.

• Respect the circle, yourself, and others.

DRC values the strength of youth voices, and we recognize the obstacles that hinder them from being their best, especially during these traumatic times. For every weekly circle that a youth attends, an investment of $15 is given for their time and commitment to themselves.

NOTE: Youth under the age of 18 will need Parental consent to receive the $15 stipend. Once parental information has been given, DRC will email a form for parent signatures.
