Corporate Declaration:

Baptism includes a renunciation of our old life without Jesus, and an embrace of our new life in Jesus. So collectively, all those choosing to be baptized will be asked to publicly respond to the follow questions, first with "I renounce them," and then with "I do." Please familiarize yourself with these declarations so you feel confident making these statements before you are baptized.

Do you renounce Satan and all the spiritual forces of wickedness that rebel against God? (I renounce them)

Do you renounce the evil powers of this world which corrupt and destroy the creatures of God? (I renounce them)

Do you renounce all sinful desires that draw you from the love of God? (I renounce them)

Do you turn to Jesus Christ and accept him as your Savior? (I do)

Do you put your whole trust in his grace and love? (I do)

Do you promise to follow and obey him as your Lord? (I do)
CCF Christmas Service Baptism Information:

1. When? Friday, December 5th, time TBD
2. Where? Hillcrest Church
3. What? All the baptism "candidates" will stand in front of the CCF community and each briefly share why they're getting baptized, often by repeating a couple answers from this questionnaire. Then we will do a "call and response" of the Corporate Declaration (above). Then one by one the baptism candidates will go out into the water and be baptized by one of CCF's campus pastors and, if you want, someone else of your choosing (see below). Emerging from the water, you will be served communion by a couple CCF campus pastors, and prayed over personally by them.
3. Who? All your CCF community will be there, and you are welcome and encouraged to invite any significant friends or family you would like to be there for this momentous day. You are invited to ask a significant person in your faith journey to join you in the water when you are baptized, as well as someone to have a towel ready for you when you come out of the water.
4. What to bring? Clothes you are ok going underwater in, a change of clothes, a towel.
