Personal Genomics and Data Sharing
More and more people get themselves genotyped from direct-to-customer (DTC) personal genomics companies such as 23andme or deCODEme, to learn about their predispositions for diseases and to learn about their ancestry.

We are interested in how people are using the data about themselves that by those DTC companies produce, especially how many people would be willing to share their results and possibly attached medical conditions.

This survey is written by Fabian Zimmer, Philipp Bayer and Bastian Greshake. We are 3 biologists interested in how the advent of cheap genetical information changes scientific research and society.

Thanks for your help!

Have you already used one of the available direct-to-customer (DTC) genotyping services? *
Where do you currently live?
How old are you?
Your answer
What is your chromosomal sex?
We know, gender and sex is a minefield, but as DTC-companies are dealing with chromosomal information, this may be interesting.
