Mt. Auburn Bus Priority Pilot Project Update Sign-up
Cambridge, in partnership with Watertown, was awarded a community grant from the Barr Foundation to pilot bus priority improvements on Mt. Auburn St. west of Fresh Pond Parkway. The improvements, impacting MBTA routes 71 and 73, will include segments of painted, bus-only lanes, primarily in Cambridge. Emergency vehicles and employee shuttles will also have access to the dedicated bus lanes. The pilot will take place in conjunction with planned Department of Conservation and Recreation changes to intersections at Coolidge Ave and Fresh Pond Parkway that will improve overall traffic flow on Mt. Auburn Street.

More information about the project can be found on the project website hosted by the City of Cambridge.
