The Wimbletech CIC team are passionate about working in partnership with local Councils to transform under-utilised space into dynamic, affordable, co-working and start-up space. Often in the heart of local communities, this...
Supports local public library (other) space in 3 x ways:
1) Generates a sustainable revenue source2) Increases footfall and awareness 3) Delivers innovation and relevance within public library / other space
The Community also benefits: A) Flexible, affordable working space for diverse set of entrepreneursB) Improved local employment opportunities + spending + investmentC) Access to innovation, skills and services (for existing local organisations)D) Free community events, share skills + knowledge (young and old!)
This originated in Wimbledon (Wimbletech), in partnership with the London Borough of Merton (150 members, over 100 x free community events), and is now being rolled out through library (www.theworkary.com) and non-library (e.g.) www.rivertech.space) nationwide.
If you would like to know how / whether this would work in your town, please let us know by completing the form below and a member of the team will be in touch :)
Yours with passion,The Wimbletech CIC Team x
