Tech Seed Application
Are you interested in electronics and looking to get started? The Bay Area Science and Engineering Fair (BASEF) is pleased to offer our Technology Seed Initiative - we will provide, at no charge, a starter kit of materials and resources to qualifying students so that they can begin experimenting with electronics-related projects.

- You must be a Student in Grades 7 to 12 (note that to compete at BASEF, students must be in Grades 7 to 12)
- You must live or attend school in BASEF's catchment area (Hamilton, Halton, Haldimand-Norfolk, Brant County, or Six Nations)

While participation at BASEF is not mandatory, we hope that this will generate projects that will be able to participate at an upcoming BASEF competition - check out the details at

We will select project based on the quality of your proposal (the last question) - make sure you tell us in detail about what you would like to build, or what you would like to learn, and why.
