History and Geology Walk at Hawkes Preserve, Saturday, December 2nd, 10am - noon
Join the Presumpscot Regional Land Trust for an autumn walk at Hawkes Preserve in Gorham. We will have three leaders and topics. Lindsay Spigel of the Maine Geological Survey will discuss evidence she has found of landslides in the area over the last 10,000 years; Don Wescott, former board member, will talk about the history of the C & O Canal and Towpath and the logging legacy of the region; and Toby Jacobs, Stewardship and Outreach Coordinator, will lead the group to the brand new bridge that he built with the help of over 50 volunteers this year. Open to all ages.  The event is free and an RSVP is required.

Full sign-in information necessary to attend the event for everyone 18+. As a community based non-profit organization we will never share your information.
