Ministry of Education - Ontario Secondary School Credit and Lifesaving Society Certifications:
 
•​​1 Secondary School Credit – Recreation and Healthy Active Living Leadership (PLF4M)
•Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor
•Lifesaving Society Lifesaving Instructor
•Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard Pool

-Prerequisites:-

Students must:

  • hold Bronze Cross and Standard First Aid (current certifications preferred)
  • be 15 years of age by test dates
  • currently attend a Secondary School (Grades 9 - 12)
  • have completed at least 1 Secondary School Health and Physical Education Credit

The decision to run classes is based on student enrollment and teacher availability. Students must attend all classes. Assessments and Evaluations will occur throughout the program.

All applicants must register with York Region District School Board and the City of Markham.  Please note that registration is not complete until payment is made to City of Markham.
