To help you with your planning, please note that the Chapman Estate is best suited for small intimate gatherings of 50 people or less due to our location within a residential neighborhood and limited street parking available. Larger gatherings are very limited in accordance with a City Conditional Use Permit and if they can be accommodated, require offsite parking (which can usually be arranged at Shell Beach Elementary School) and a shuttle service at the event sponsor's expense.
Private events in the garden are limited to between April and October.
Interior events are currently limited to 49 people.
Only beer and wine may be served at private events on the premises.
Benefactor Clifford Chapman designated certain charities to retain the right to conduct larger annual fundraisers at the Estate. If you are reaching out from one of these or another non-profit, please indicate that in your responses below. Thank you!
