Introduction
As a PhD student researching security, scalability and latency properties in multi-domain communication, I am interested in industry’s perspectives on how we can protect confidentiality in Internet traffic, for both consumers and businesses.

This panel session aims to share perspectives from across industry and with input from research, focusing on not only the importance of confidentiality but also its practical implementation in the Internet by network operators.

Our session follows three topics:
- Ensuring Privacy in Private Networking
Focusing on the confidentiality property in Internet-based virtual private networking. - Facilitating a Secure Internet
Focusing on how network operators can assist in carrying and protecting confidential Internet traffic. - Governance & Motivation in Internet Routing
Focusing on the governance and motivations of network operators in the Internet space.
