Spring Tramp 2019: Wairaka Walkway

In Week 9 of Term 4 Taupo Syndicate will be having a 'Leadership Week' which will involve a Spring tramp, and other activities.

On Monday 9th December Taupo Syndicate will complete the Wairaka Walkway which is a 4 - 5 hour walk along the waterfront between Pukerua Bay and Plimmerton.

Students and parents attending will need to meet at school at 8.15am where teachers will do a roll call with their own class. Then at 8.30am the syndicate will walk to Plimmerton Station where we will catch a train to Pukerua Bay. We will then embark on the Wairaka Walkway at approximately 9am.

Students will need to be either picked up at 3pm in front of Hongoeka Marae, dropped back to school by parent helpers or walk home at the conclusion of our tramp.

If for some reason the completion of the tramp is delayed the school office will be in contact with all parents.

As we are catching the train there will be a cost of $2 (this cost covers students only).

Students will need to bring a substantial lunch/drink bottle, appropriate shoes (for walking on stones/rocks), clothing to suit changeable weather conditions, a brimmed hat and sunscreen.

We will be in contact on the morning of Monday 9th December if the trip is cancelled due to unsuitable weather conditions.

Ngā mihi maioha,

The Taupo Team :)
