Middle College Recommendation Form (Math)
You are being asked to provide information about a student who is applying to the Middle College program at Las Positas College for the upcoming school year. 

Students enrolled in the Middle College High School program will attend classes at Las Positas College, taking high school level English and social science classes, in addition to multiple college level courses. In addition to helping us place students appropriately in math, your responses are valuable in helping us identify students who will most benefit from and succeed in the program.

Middle College students can be placed in a wide range of math courses here at LPC. Should the student continue completing the same type of work for the remainder of the year, what course would you expect to be an appropriate fit for the next school year should they be accepted?

Math 50/55 (equivalent to Algebra 2) Students should have successfully completed Geometry in High School
  
Transfer Level Course (Math 30 College Algebra, Math 39 Trig, Math 40 Stats, Math 47 Liberal Arts, Math 34 Business Calc) Students should have successfully completed Algebra 2 in High School

Math I (Calculus) Students MUST successfully complete PRECALCULUS and submit required paperwork to LPC to enroll. Completion of just Trigonometry will not allow them access.  

MATH 2 or 3 (AP SCORES REQUIRED and must be submitted to LPC prior to registering. If results not available until summer, they will not be able to register until then)
