Revised Draft IWRM Policy Public Comment Form
The Government of Trinidad and Tobago (GORTT) is continuing to pursue best management practices for water resources management, in which the water sector and the (water) environment is considered in an integrated manner within the framework of economic, environmental, technical, social and political considerations. In 2005 the Integrated Water Resources Management Policy was established as a key requirement to facilitate the effective management and sustainable development of the water resources of the country. The policy states that it should be revised every five (5) years. The revision of this Policy is urgently required as it will be essential for feeding into the development of a legal and regulatory framework for water resources management in the country, which is now being initiated.

The Ministry of Public Utilities and the Water Resources Agency of the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) are welcoming comments and suggestions to revise the National Integrated Water Resources Policy 2005.The Draft Revised IWRM Policy can be found at www.mpu.gov.tt
