7:00pm: Group outing to Tony Award winning Broadway musical Maybe Happy Ending.
Friday November 7th, 2025
Candle lighting: 4:26pm Friday
4:30pm: Melodic Kabbalat Shabbat (incorporating some showtune melodies, without musical instruments) and Maariv
6:00pm: Catered Shabbat Dinner featuring theater-themed foods (meat) (FULL)
7:15 pm: Dessert featuring bake-off of best theater-themed desserts (sign-up info below)
7:30pm Panel: Stories from the Field featuring panelists who work in theater featuring: Max Abramovitz (master electrician/lighting designer), Tova Frank (Broadway marketing, New York Renaissance Faire), Yoni Oppenheim (director, dramaturg, artistic director), Aviva Katz (director, administrator, front of house manager), and Alexandra Feingold (AYALA) (voice teacher, singer, performer)!
8:30pm: Talmud Live! Improvised performance of Talmudic stories/cases
9:30pm: Tisch
Saturday November 8th, 2025
9am-noon: Shacharit - featuring dramatic Torah reading by Dr. Gabriel Wasserman, liturgy scholar and guided Bibliodrama activity by Rabbanit Tanya Farber
Noon: Kiddush
1pm: Catered Lunch featuring theater-themed foods (dairy, ALMOST FULL--a few more spots ONLY!)
Shabbat afternoon learning and conversations led by Sandy Sahar Gooen, Tova Frank, Aviva Katz and Sarit Perl. Stay tuned for the topics!

Prayer services will be Orthodox, all food will be kosher. We value making everyone comfortable and if you're not familiar with Orthodox synagogues, come as you are and you're fully welcome! eas
