January Meeting - Student Presentation and Design Competition Event
The ASME St. Louis Section is proud to present the third annual Student Presentation and Design Competition Event, co-hosted by the ASME WashU Student Section. Student groups will present on the work they have done this year in preparation to compete in an approved student design competition and receive feedback from professional members as well as funding to go toward material, equipment, and competition travel expenses. One team will be selected based on their presentation to receive additional funding.
Presentations for each design team will be limited to 15 minutes (10-12 presentation, 3-5 Q&A) and must include a budget for materials, equipment, and travel, along with financial assistance provided by others. The St. Louis Section Board will award up to $500 for each presentation (depending on # of teams). The audience of professional members will vote on the best presentation with the winning team receiving an extra $250.
