We are concerned that the city of St. Francis is following in the footsteps of President Trump, with a billionaire takeover and our very own Project 2025.
Mayor Lurie's Project 2025:
- Introduced major tax cuts to the wealthiest property purchasers while cutting affordable and homeless housing dramatically.
- Opposes the June Ballot's Prop D, the Overpaid CEO tax, sponsored by hardworking union members.
- Proposing a major power grab through charter reform to undermine participatory democracy by making it so only the wealthiest can place initiatives on the ballot, increasing executive power, removing independent commissions, and limiting the Board's power to oversee contracts.
