Teens: Youth Cohort for Climate Justice
Be part of the High School Environmental Leadership Project (HELP) Cohort: a diverse group of youth from around Portland who will identify and do their part to inspire their communities through hopeful and effective action.

Maybe you want to:
•Start an environmental or climate justice club at your school and get more of your peers involved
•Reduce waste
•Get solar panels on your school
•Support HELP as an intern with your outreach, communications, and/or website skills
•Support another local organization through an in-depth service-learning project.
•Plan youth-oriented community building tours and events.

You will:
•Develop a plan of action that meets you where you are and takes you to the next level
•Co-facilitate a meeting of the cohort and/or a meeting to advance your plan of action/project
•Attend a public hearing and share your voice
•Consider your part in forming the City of Portland Climate Youth Council
•Volunteer for another cohort member's plan of action
•Explore future job opportunities connected to your interests & concerns

This project has been made especially possible by grants from the Northeast Coalition of Neighborhoods and Spirit Mountain Community Fund, in addition to many passionate & committed community leaders and organizations.
