Interested in having an unforgettable Japanese experience for your family this summer here in Lincoln?
We invite you to become a host family for a Japanese 9th grader this summer!
The home stay will be from 11:30 AM Saturday June 22nd to Tuesday afternoon June 25th (4 days and 3 nights).
There are 70 boys and 81 girls coming from Senshu Matsudo JHS, a school near Tokyo, visiting Lincoln this June.
The students spend a week participating in Bright Lights classes in Lincoln or Adventure Zone classes at Doane University, with field trips in the afternoon. The highlight of their visit is the American home stay experience with local families.
LPS or Lux Middle School affiliation is not a requirement to host! This exciting opportunity is open to Nebraska families who want to enjoy a fun intercultural experience for both kids and parents alike. We encourage families to consider hosting two students, but families are invited to host up to three. The host family matches are determined by the Japanese homeroom teachers in Japan. There may be times where only one Japanese student is available for a family that is able to host two or three. We appreciate your understanding in this.
We appreciate your generosity in opening your home to these wonderful Japanese youth. Please feel free to send this link to any other families you think would be interested!
