In response to the surge of COVID, flu and RSV in the Bay Area, we have cut back and simplified our program for winter sesshins. We will still offer in-person participation (as well as online), but have reduced service and eliminated indoor meals. With these changes we believe we have significantly reduced the risk of airborne transmission of the virus.
Sesshin will begin at 7:50 am and conclude by 5:00 pm. In the morning we will have three periods of zazen followed by a lecture; and in the afternoon we will have three periods of zazen concluding with the refuges. There will be a two and a half hour break between, for bag lunch, rest and work period.
The suggested donation for the sesshin is $15 a day. When paying for sesshin, please indicate in the PayPal note field (or on your check) that your donation is related to the March 25, 2023 sesshin:https://berkeleyzencenter.org/support-bzc/
