Landscape Remodel Questionnaire
Thank you for your interest in our company. We appreciate your taking the time to answer the following questions. We will contact your as soon as we are able to after reading through your answers. We look forward to discussing with you your landscape needs and dreams.
How did you hear about us?
If you saw a landscape we installed, please describe where that was in "other" section below; and please describe what aspects you liked about it.
Davis Food Coop Landscape
Referral Company (Houzz, Home Advisor, etc.)
Are you the property owner?
Is this your primary residence?
Yes I live there.
No, I lease it to renters.
Which part of your yard do you want to re-landscaped? (please check all that apply)
Please describe any demo work needed.
Before installing a project, we need to identify anything that needs to be removed from site and do that first. Examples include removal of old concrete or other hardscape, removal of invasive trees and weeds, lawn removal, etc. If you're not sure, that's okay! Please say so.
Are there any on-site constraints that we should address through our design?
We can turn a lot of these constraints into opportunities. (For example, drainage issues can become opportunities to deep water other parts of the landscape via natural drainage techniques, grading, and drain lines)
Drainage issues / Flooding
Need for Privacy Screen
Need Shade from Hot Afternoon Sun
Dogs use the yard
Children play in the yard
Unsightly views you want to block (ex/AC system)

What is your budget?
We cater our design to your budget range through careful selection of materials, inclusion of design elements desired, and the size of various landscape features. Knowing your priorities and budget range will help us design a landscape that provides you the best value possible. Please note, most of our landscape renovations (design phase plus installation) fall in the $10-40k range. Relevant cost factors include relative size of landscape, types of landscape elements wanted (hardscaping, structures, etc), types of materials wanted (for example, higher cost flagstone vs. lower cost flagstone), and complexity of renovation. We normally start off with a design contract in the $1-3k range (usually less than 10% of the total project cost), and we provide feedback throughout the design phase on general costs as a general layout takes shape. We conclude the design phase with a phased installation cost proposal, with opportunity to adjust things if necessary. For smaller or simpler projects not requiring a design phase or master plan, please suggest a budget in the "other" column and we will contact you to discuss further what can be accomplished. Knowing the budget from the start really helps guide the design process and allows us to design within your parameters and goals.
We offer our clients custom maintenance services for the landscapes we install. Most clients prefer a monthly or quarterly seasonal check-up where we address the following seasonal activities: pruning, mulching, irrigation adjustments, flushing drainage pipes, and maintenance of other landscape features specific to your landscape. This helps ensure your new landscape fills in nicely, that plants have the proper care they need, and peace of mind knowing you have regular care. It will be a relief to know you don't need a mow and blow company coming by every single week because the landscapes we install only require monthly or quarterly visits to keep them ship shape.
Yes, I want an estimate for Seasonal Maintenance (Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall) once landscape is installed!
No, I look forward to maintaining yard myself.
Not sure yet. Remind me later.
