Advocacy - to expand the influence of the Texas K-12 CTO Council by building strong relationships with Texas legislators and the Texas Education Agency in order to increase the support for technology in our classrooms and districts. This committee typically meets once a month through a conference call.
Communications - To provide feedback to the Communications Coordinator on the design and content of the website and social media messaging. This committee meets as needed through a conference call or email.
Leadership Advisory - To design services that our members may need as a part of membership or for a low cost. This committee typically meets once a month through a conference call.
Finance - To review all financial documents of the organization, assist in the preparation of the annual budget, and oversee the management of financial records. This committee meets 3 times a year over a conference call.
Meetings & Events - To plan and make decisions on the content and schedule of meetings and events. This committee meets once a month over a conference call to plan the summer conference.

Membership - To proactively recruit districts who are not members and think of new benefits that we can offer to our members. This committee meets as needed over a conference call.
Professional Learning - To develop skills and knowledge that are needed to lead a district's transformation to a 21st century learning environment, based on the Framework of Essential Skills. This committee meets a few times a year over a conference call.
Research & Development - To conduct research on various topics of interest to the membership and creates whitepapers with resources to be shared with the membership. This committee meets a few times a year through a conference call.

Bylaws - This committee operates only when there is a need to update and revise the current Bylaws.
Elections - This committee only operates during the officer selection cycle (March - May) and helps recommend a slate of candidates.
Strategic Planning - This committee will meet this year to revise our strategic plan. We will have at least one face to face meeting and the rest of the work will be done online.
