Historically, the NFAA has been a robust and growing online community. However, we are expanding according to our members’ demand, by creating monthly chapter meetings and events across the country. To accomplish this we are seeking select, qualified, dynamic professionals to start and run NFAA chapters in select cities on a volunteer basis. In return you will receive several benefits including complimentary Authority membership in the Nonfiction Authors Association along with all associated member benefits, complimentary Platinum access pass to the annual Nonfiction Writers Conference, and exposure within your local writing community and nationally as a chapter leader for NFAA
Expectations-Chapter Leader agrees to perform the following duties and adhere to the following guidelines:-Locate suitable meeting space within chapter budget.-Promote and host a monthly meeting following NFAA event guidelines.-Collect and report event fees and conduct meetings within chapter budget.-Maintain event management details on the chapter’s Meetup.com site.-Communicate with NFAA management and participate in leader training, assessments, and other communications.-Conduct business with integrity and include all members who want to join, unless those potential members are deemed disruptive. Absolutely no discrimination of members by race, religion, age, sexual preference/orientation, politics, gender expression/identity or otherwise will be tolerated.-Bring energy and enthusiasm to each event.-Follow guidelines outlined in the Chapter Leader's Handbook.
