Your answer
This class is designed for people who are generally comfortable with carrying a tune and would like to learn how to sing harmony by ear. You do not need to read music or have had any previous musical instruction. However, it is useful to know if you have! Please describe your previous experience with singing and/or making music (if any): *
Your answer
What voice part are you most comfortable singing? (If you don’t know yet, that’s okay! I’ll help you find the right spot.) *
This class encourages a full-body awareness while using the voice, and some of the exercises are physical. All of the exercises are adaptable to work for people with different kinds of bodies and abilities. What physical limits or other access needs would you like me to know about? Do you have any access-related questions for me? *
Your answer
In order to be accessible for all participants, this class is a totally fragrance-free space. This means that on class days, I ask you to refrain from smoking and wearing scented products, including colognes and perfumes, clothing washed in scented detergents, and hair and body products with fragrances, including essential oils. Full info about how to be fragrance-free is available here -- I am happy to answer any questions you have about this. Do you agree to attend all classes fragrance-free? *
Classes will be: April 23rd, April 30th, May 7th, May 14th, May 21st, May 28th, June 4th, June 11th, and an informal closing performance on June 18th. Your attendance is important -- without you, your singing partners won't be able to harmonize! -- so I ask that you to do your best to minimize absences. What, if any, dates do you know you will have to miss? *
Your answer
The class fee is $400. If you are admitted from the waiting list, a $200 deposit will be due to complete your registration. The remaining $200 is due at our first session on April 23rd. If a space opens up, how will you pay for the class? *
