Thank you for participating as a Project Mentor for the Synopsys-Sonoma County STEAM Showcase! Please submit this form no later than Friday, December 9th. You only need to submit the form once, regardless of the number of projects you are submitting on behalf of students. The Sonoma County Office of Education will not provide transportation to or from the event. It is the responsibility of the participating school and/or project mentor to provide transportation for participating students. *

The Sonoma County Office of Education will not provide supervision of students during this event. Supervision for the entirety of the event must be arranged by the sponsoring educator in accordance with your district’s adult-to-student ratio requirements. *

Entries cannot include live animals, fire, dangerous chemicals, or other dangerous materials or tools. If these are part of your project, please determine an alternative way to display your project on the day of the event. If you would like to seek an exception for use of any of these items, please contact Anna Van Dordrecht (avandordrecht@scoe.org) to discuss specific details. Note: Entries will not be accepted if there is any evidence that harm was caused to animals. *

All entries are expected to be appropriate for public viewing. Projects should not include graphic images, inappropriate language, or clothing not appropriate for a family-based audience. *

Students are responsible for bringing all components of their display or performance piece, including all required technology. Students are also responsible for monitoring and ensuring the security of any technology they bring. This is not the responsibility of the Sonoma County Office of Education. *

By entering the Synopsys-Sonoma County STEAM Shocase, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By entering the event premises, you consent to interview(s), photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, web casts, promotional purposes, telecasts, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose by SCOE, its affiliates, and media representatives. Images, photos, and/or videos may be used to promote similar SCOE events in the future, highlight the event, and exhibit the capabilities of SCOE. You release SCOE, its officers and employees, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication and use of interviews, photographs, computer images, video, and/or or sound recordings. By entering the event premises, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use, exhibition, streaming, web casting, televising, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such use, exhibiting, broadcasting, web casting, or other publication irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by SCOE or the person or entity designated to do so by SCOE. *
