The Rogue Ambassador scholarship pays one-half of the recipient's tuition (up to nine credits) in the first year following high school graduation and full tuition (up to 18 credits per term) in the second year if all eligibility requirements are met. The scholarship does not include summer term tuition, college fees, or books/supply expenses. You may apply for other RCC scholarships through the RCC Foundation but if you qualify for the Rogue Ambassador Scholarship you will be removed from the RCC scholarship pool. Please indicate on your Foundation Scholarship application that you have applied for the RA Scholarship as well.
Rogue Ambassadors are required to attend special classes, perform volunteer service, satisfactorily complete 36 credits each year, and maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA.
PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY BEFORE BEGINNING APPLICATION:
You will need an RCC ID number to complete this application. If you do not have one, stop now and go to the RCC website and complete our Online Admission Application. Print the last page that will include your student ID number. If you have already applied for admission but do not know your RCC ID, log into your myRogue account and click on "Printable Schedule." Your ID number will be at the top even if you are not registered for classes. You must also know your GPA and the results of your placement test to complete this application.
To qualify for this scholarship program you must meet all of these requirements:
1) Be a high school senior at a Jackson or Josephine County high school
2) Have a minimum unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better at end of fall term
3) Have RCC placement test scores resulting in minimum placement of RD115, WR115, and MTH65
4) Graduate with a traditional diploma from an approved Jackson or Josephine County high school
The Rogue Ambassador scholarship has a maximum of 50 accepted students, if more than 50 qualified students apply - a waitlist will be developed. The application will be open from January 4, 2016 until May 2nd, 2016. This is a Rolling Acceptance process. All applicants will receive acceptance or denial letters as their application is reviewed.
You must have an RCC placement test score on file at the time of your application for the scholarship. You may take the test a maximum of two times to meet the minimum placements. The placement test can be taken on an RCC campus or through an RCC placement test administered on your high school campus. Testing will be available through the scholarship deadline, so plan accordingly and sign up for the test online through your myRogue account.
If you are not ready to apply at this time, please close the application and return when you have your RCC student ID number, your placement test scores and fall term cumulative GPA.
