Dear colleagues,
After the success in organizing The First International Symposium In Tropical African Mycology (FISTAM 2019), we are pleased to invite you to the Symposium of Young Mycologists from Tropical Africa (SYMTA). This symposium is co-organized by Land, Environment and Global Life NGO (LEGLE-NGO) and Tropical Mycology and Plants-Soils-fungi Interactions (MyTIPS), in Parakou, Benin, from January 25 to 27, 2024. It will brings together the young mycologists from Tropical Africa. We expect around 50 - 60 participants and discussions will focus on:
1- Ecology and diversity of tropical African fungi;
2 - Molecular systematics and phylogeny of tropical African fungi;
3- Production, use and conservation of tropical African fungi.
The main objective is to accelerate the development of mycology in tropical Africa through frequent meetings and training workshops on practical aspects of mycology as well as sharing of knowledge and experiences. We are aware that it is a challenge but we are convinced that we will obtain better results thanks to the contributions of each other through various activities related to education, training, research and mycological services in the African countries and other regions.
With best wishes,
The organizing committee.
