Cosa Excavations 2026
The 2026 season of Cosa Excavations runs from May 31st to July 4th, 2026. Come excavate an ancient Roman bathhouse and travel to cities and sites in Tuscany!  No previous experience necessary to apply.  Credit at your home institution can be arranged.  If you have any inquiries, please email director Dr. Andrea De Giorgi (adegiorgi@fsu.edu) or the Cosa Excavations team at cosaexcavations@gmail.com.

N.B. The application deadline for the 2026 season has been extended! The new deadline for the application, for both new and returning participants, is now January 31st, 2026 at 11:59PM. 

For new participants:
The cost of the field school is $3,750 (excluding airfare). To apply, please complete the following application. No previous experience is necessary to apply. The application, including a separately emailed letter of recommendation (sent to cosaexcavations@gmail.com), is due by January 15, 2026 at 11:59PM.  


For returning participants*:
The cost of the field school is $2,750 (excluding airfare). To apply, please complete the following application. If you have participated in a past Cosa Excavations season, please do not submit a letter of recommendation. The application is due by January 15th, 2026 at 11:59PM EST.
