Khramis Didi Gora is a late neolithic village in Georgia, south Caucasus. the settlement was excavated in 1970-80s and hugely influenced South Caucasus Neolithisation processes. In 2023 we started new investigations at the site. New investigations will take place in 2025 1-30 October. We will continue new trench 10x10, during the excavations different multidisciplinary research approaches will apply.
We open calls for Archaeology students for the 2025 Season.
The fees for summer school includes:
1. Accommodation in a rural/village house or a dormitory room.
2. Feeding - Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
3. Dig - excavation training for a particular Neolithic mud-break architecture.
4. Lab work - drawings, photography, planning, filed diaries and work with materials.
5. You will be able to choose a specific topic or material and study for a conference, BA, MA, or PhD. I will help you with literature, etc.
6. Author for article - if you participate in research on materials, you will be granted as author for the following article.
7. Recommendations - We will provide you with a recommendation letter of your need.
8. Lectures - there will be different kinds of lectures.
9. Manual - you will be given a manual with basic information on the Neolithic, Caucasus Neolithic and Khramis Didi Gora.
