The Oakland Promise Ambassador Program develops community leaders who represent and actively advocate for the Oakland Promise, Oakland’s first cradle to career education initiative. Ambassadors will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to engage others around each of the 4 key initiatives of the Oakland Promise.
Ambassadors will be expected to think critically about why they are passionate about education and community engagement. Through personal experiences, Ambassadors will share with stakeholders the potential the Oakland Promise has to transform our city. Ambassadors may be asked to volunteer at events, attend speaking engagements, and become a mentor for the East Bay College Fund, among other things. Ambassadors will represent Oakland students, schools, families, and communities from every corner of our city.
