The position below the line are those within a department and are not part of the executive board.
Director of Education:
It will be the duty of the Director of Education to develop the curriculum for coffee hours and other CWiB meetings. The Director of Education will work to understand the needs of the membership to tailor the curriculum to meet those needs and requests. The Director of Education will recruit discussion leaders and presenters. The Director of Education shall work closely with the CEO for the necessary preparation.
Chief Financial Officer:
The CFO is responsible for overseeing the finance department which includes the CFO and two Immersion Trip Directors. This department is to deal with all fiscal matters. The CFO will be responsible for all communication and funding requests from the Budget Allocation Committee (BAC). The CFO will work closely with the two Immersion Trip Directors to coordinate the funds for both the spring and fall trips. The two Immersion Trip Directors are to make all preparations for both the fall and spring trips. The CFO will also order, purchase and organize the delivery of any food items required for coffee hours or other events.
Chief Marketing Officer:
The CMO is responsible for overseeing the marketing department which includes the CMO and the Content Director. The CMO will be responsible for all advertising, marketing, and promotional materials and strategies. This includes facebook, twitter, posters, the blog and the semesterly newsletter. The CMO is to oversee the Content Director in managing the blog and writing the semesterly newsletter which will be published at the end of each semester.
Director of Alumnae Relations
The Director of Alumnae Relations is responsible for overseeing all alumnae relations, including CWiB alumnae outreach. The Director of Alumnae Relations will manage the CWiB LinkedIn Page.
Chief Communications Officer:
The CCO is responsible for overseeing the marketing department which includes the CCO and the Outreach Coordinator. The CCO is responsible for sending weekly emails which are the primary correspondence within CWiB. The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for being in contact with career, women’s studies, alumni relations and other business-related organizations to find opportunities to coordinate events.
It is the duty of the Secretary to keep updated minutes of all the meetings of the organization. The Secretary will be responsible for taking attendance at all meetings and maintaining a membership list of all official members.
Immersion Trip Directors (2 people)
The two Immersion Trip Directors are to make all preparations for both the fall and spring trips. This typically includes 3-4 company site visits, an alumni reception and workshops as well as the hotel and transportation arrangements. The trip directors send applications and review participants. Both of the immersion trip directors will co-lead the trip.
The Content Director is responsible for managing the blog, positing once a week at minimum. Posts on each coffee hour and CWiB-directed event as well as outside articles. The content director will also compile the semesterly newsletter which will be published at the end of each semester.
The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for being in contact with career, women’s studies, alumni relations and other business-related organizations to find opportunities to coordinate events.
Social Media Manager
The Social Media Manager is responsible for CWIB’s Twitter and Facebook. This includes connecting and maintaining contact with alumnae online, publishing relevant content, and developing strategies to increase CWIB’s online presence. The manager will create Facebook events for upcoming coffee hours, post relevant articles, ask questions and respond to comments, and on Twitter, will tweet throughout the semester.
The Brand Manager is responsible for all design and graphic elements. This includes, poster, flyers, branding materials, etc. Responsible for creating designs, contacting the Colgate print station, ordering flyers before coffee hours using our budget code, and then distributing them around campus. Also in charge of the design of anything we order as a club, ex. travel mugs. Previous Photoshop, Publisher or InDesign experience is necessary.
Assistant Director of Education:
The Assistant Director of Education works closely with the Director of Education to brainstorm, implement, and facilitate coffee hours. Additionally, the assistant director will work to understand the needs of the members to tailor the curriculum to meet those needs and requests. This position will require a small time commitment (appx 1/week).
