PSEO Contract
In order to attend post-secondary classes, we require that students complete this checklist before we will send in the student’s application.  Please show to your parents/guardians.

1. I understand that it is the student’s responsibility to stay in communication with the high school.  This includes, but not limited to, daily announcements, modifications to the daily schedule, pertinent graduation information, and all other significant information as it related to the daily high school activities. *

2. I understand that all communication about courses and course progress occurs between the post-secondary institution and the student. *

3. I understand that it is the student’s responsibility to sign up for the amount of courses that the student informs Sartell High School that they are registering to take. If changes in a course occur, student must inform the counseling office. *

4. I understand that the grade earned in a post-secondary class is the same grade that will appear on the student’s high school transcript. (i.e. “A” = “A”, “W” = “W”, “F” = “F”).  I also understand that all PSEO courses are UNWEIGHTED on my transcript and do not count towards the Scholars of Distinction award at graduation. *

5. I understand that it is the student’s responsibility to be checking at least once per semester with the high school counselor to ensure that the appropriate credits and requirements are being earned toward graduation.  This will include laying out a plan for graduation standard completion. *

6. If a student chooses to attend PSEO full time, they will not be eligible to utilize a school issued computer; part-time PSEO students are eligible to use a school issued. *

7. I understand that transportation is the responsibility of the student. *

8. I understand that it is the student’s responsibility to turn in a new post-secondary enrollment options program Notice of Student Registration (NOSR) form every semester. *

9. I understand that the student should provide the Counseling Office with a copy of a schedule from the post-secondary institution once it is available.   *

10. I understand that the student will provide the Counseling Office with a copy of their grades once it is available. *

11. I understand that when semesters overlap, students are responsible to attend classes that are in progress at Sartell High School.  In the event that is not possible, it is the student’s responsibility to make arrangements with both institutions so that they may finish courses that are in progress here. *

12. I understand that all PSEO books should be returned to the college that I attend. *

13. I understand when applying to colleges, students will need to ask their PSEO college(s) to send transcripts to the colleges to which they are applying.  Colleges will want specific course titles. The SHS transcript will only include general course titles (i.e. PSEO-English, PSEO-Math, etc) *

14. I understand I am creating a permanent college transcript and failure to maintain the required GPA could affect my financial aid and GPA.   *

15. If you are graduating with any type of degree from a PSEO institution, you will be recognized at graduation.  However, it is YOUR responsibility to notify your counselor if this is the case for you.  *
