The following descriptions are included to help you gain a general understanding of the options available:

The Activities committee helps plan and put on area activities such as dances, picnics, campouts, etc. Help is always needed with set-up and clean-up. There are no clean time requirements to be on the committee. H&I is a committee that takes meetings into the jails and prisons. It is for those who are not able to make it to a meeting on their own. There is a clean time requirement of one year or more to go into these facilities; however, there is not a clean time requirement to be of service to the committee. Public Relations is a large committee with several opportunities for service commitments that do not take a lot of time. PR is responsible for our website and dealings with the public. They work to get our literature and other information into racks in the community in places like hospitals, probation offices, treatment facilities, etc. They also attend and man booths at informational fairs for the community. Phone Line - Your name will be added to the list of numbers available to receive phone calls from our hotline and direct addicts to a meeting. There are other opportunities for service on this committee that do not require you answer the phone. Panels - We take small groups into outpatient facilities and share our experience, strength, and hope in short presentations to the clients. Minimal clean time requirements do apply, and a clear message of NA recovery is important. Outreach - Several addicts get together and carpool or meet at meetings in our area that have asked for support and help. These meetings are indicated by a heart on our meeting schedule. NAYC - Narcotics Anonymous Youth Committee was formed to help the young people in our fellowship become involved in service through youthful activities and panels. The NAYC committee is working on taking panels into the schools and juvenile facilities, as well as planning and putting on events in a youthful spirit. There is not an age requirement to be involved with NAYC, as mentors are also welcome. Other - There are many "Short Term" service opportunities available. Please Check other if you would like to help in one of these areas
