Wanderbirds recommends that all hikers be up to date with COVID-19 vaccines, including boosters. But we no longer require this. If you have any questions about this policy, please contact Health@wanderbirds.org. *
Consistent with the Centers for Disease Control, current club policy is that, when bus hikes begin again, hikers must wear masks properly and not eat food while riding the bus to a hike. Do you agree? *
Our policy is that hikers should stay home if they or a household member have had COVID-19 diagnosed within the previous 13 days, OR have waited 10 days after diagnosis AND THEN have had a negative rapid test result. Please notify the hike leader if you need to cancel. Do you agree?  *
Another policy is that hikers should stay home if they or a household member develop new symptoms of potential COVID-19, including: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, new congestion or runny nose, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea. Please notify the hike leader if you need to cancel. Do you agree?   *
Do you agree to contact a hike leader or club health coordinator if you develop symptoms within 2 days after the hike (or social event) and then get diagnosed with COVID-19? We will make every effort to keep your identity confidential, at your request, if you come down with COVID-19. *
Reminder: You are responsible for bringing enough water, food, bug repellent, and first aid supplies, including those for your personal medical conditions, such as diabetes and severe allergies (hike leaders do not carry epi-pens). You also should wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather (traction grips may be needed for snow/ice). This protects you and other hikers. Please check "Agree" below. *
Liability Disclaimer: Although hike leaders make  reasonable efforts to promote hiking safety, Wanderbirds Hiking Club cannot guarantee that you will not be injured or become ill or get lost when hiking. Many of our hikes take place in remote wilderness areas; there is a possibility that you may become lost or stranded in an area that is not regularly patrolled and where cell phone service is not available.  Any person participating in any Club activity, whether a member or non-member of the Club, is responsible for their own safety, health and welfare, and must assume all risks and liabilities related to all Club activities. The Club, its hike leaders, hike sweeps, officers, and other representatives are not liable for any injuries, losses, or damage to persons, children, pets, and/or property, arising from any trips or activities of the Club. Do you agree to this liability waiver? *
Please type your initials below if you agree to waive liability. *
What is the best phone number at which to reach you before or during hikes? *
What is the best email address for reaching you before a hike? *
Please provide the name and phone number for a contact person in case of emergency. Consider including a second contact in case the first person can't be reached. *
