SPS Ambassador Application

Now Accepting Applications: 2026-2027 SPS Ambassador Program

Springfield Public Schools and the Foundation for Springfield Public Schools are now accepting applications for the 2026-2027 SPS Ambassador Program. This unique opportunity allows participants to gain a deeper understanding of Missouri’s largest school district through engagement with district leaders, behind-the-scenes tours of schools and programs, and thoughtful conversations about public education.

The SPS Ambassador Program is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and insight needed to be informed advocates for Springfield Public Schools, its students, and staff. Ambassadors will meet from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the following dates:

  • Monday, September 14
  • Monday, November 9
  • Monday, January 25
  • Monday, March 29
  • Monday, May 10

In addition to these sessions, two optional social gatherings will be held to foster connection among participants and alumni of the program. The 2026-2027 Ambassadors will also be formally recognized at the Board of Education meeting on May 18, 2027.
