CSCW 2020 Research Registration
With CSCW moving online this year, there are opportunities to conduct research at and on the conference itself.

Overall, all research at CSCW 2020 must follow three basic guidelines:

1) All projects must have ethical approval or exemption from the project lead’s IRB/ethics review committee or equivalent for any human research.

2) Before the conference, each project must provide an overall ethics statement covering all human subjects research activity, including research involving public social media data.

3) All results and (if practical) data collected at CSCW should benefit the CSCW community directly. Any papers written from conference research must be submitted to CSCW as a first target venue (if appropriate for publication at CSCW).

To facilitate and coordinate this research, this year community members must pre-register their projects with the Meta co-chairs, who will monitor ethical approval/research conduct, facilitate smooth deployment, and identify any conflicting/overlapping projects in service of suggesting and enabling broader research partnerships.

For each project you wish to run at the conference, please submit the following:
Current Project Title/Working Designation *
Current Project Lead/Coordinator Name and Contact Email *
Additional Co-investigators
Provide a basic description of the project, including research area/topic and project goals *
Provide an overview of the methods you intend to use, including basic deployment details for any apps/programs *
Provide a brief statement of the ethical approval/review status of the project (e.g. progress towards IRB approval/exemption or equivalent)
Describe your plan for sharing findings/data with the CSCW community specifically *
