Volunteering at the York Music Hub Festival
The 2019 York Music Hub Festival will be staged across the weekend of the 22nd/23rd June. The Festival will highlight many of the fantastic music and performance opportunities available to children and young people in York as well as celebrating the quality and range of young musicians and ensembles.

Saturday 22nd June (9.00am to 4pm) - city centre performance platform for children and young people from schools and groups across the City

Saturday 22nd June - (6.00pm to 11pm) - gala event at the National Railway Museum showcasing outstanding young musicians and ensembles

Sunday 23rd June - (10pm to 5.30pm) - a day of secondary school performances at the University of York

A dedicated event team will run the festival but we're looking for committed and enthusiastic volunteers to help us make the event as safe and enjoyable as possible. You can volunteer for as many of the different events as you're able to commit to.

Roles will include:
- Working with another volunteer to supervise a performance space for the city centre event
- Collecting donations for the York Music Hub charity
- Acting as a point of contact for audiences and the schools and groups taking part
- Supporting the set up of the events

What we won’t ask you to do
- Place you in any situation that may place you or others at risk.
- Ask you to take sole responsibility for the safety of children or audience members

You’ll need to be over 18. Insurance will be in place to cover you in the event of any accident or injury. You will be given a briefing before each event to ensure you completely understand what is required of you.

Interested? Then complete the short sign up form and we'll get in touch with you.
