For more information about teaching children's catechism at our parish, please read the information below and submit this form. Someone will reach out to you to answer any questions that you may have.

Our children's faith formation program (grades preschool-6th) offers two session times, Sundays from 10:30am-12pm and Tuesdays from 4:15-5:45pm. We are in need of catechists for each day.

Additionally, we offer Children's Liturgy of the Word during the 9am Mass on Sundays for children ages 3-7.

In addition to needing catechist volunteers, we also need woodworkers and seamstresses to help create items for our Montessori program.

The main goal of our program is to pass on the teachings of the Catholic faith to the youngest parishioners in our community, guiding them to each have a personal encounter with God through prayer, knowledge, and reflection.

The tools we use to help us achieve this goal is our Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (Montessori style) curriculum for ages preschool and kindergarten, and the Finding God curriculum for 1st-6th grade. However, our biggest asset in this program is our wonderful catechists who model the faith and prayer to their students each week.

Each class generally has two catechists. They may co-teach or have one lead and one assist.

We provide three training opportunities for all catechists: 1) Our first training will be on Wednesday, August 26th at 6pm 2) We will have additional training on September 14th at 6pm OR September 15th at 10am 3) We have one virtual safeguarding training that can be done at home prior to classes beginning.
